A new house in Cammeray, Sydney built in ‘02/’03. Constructed from in situ concrete frame with infill brick walls on three levels with a detached garage and swimming pool. The house is on a narrow suburban site with a large, heritage listed, sandstone outcrop in the front yard. The house is organised with a strong north/south axis. The side walls have no openings to provide maximum privacy from neighbours. All windows are oriented to the north or south and make extensive use of sun control external louvres. The interior layout is on each floor organised around a central core containing service functions. Floors are Isernia limestone with a sandblasted finish running continuously through the house and out to terrace areas. The rear terrace contains a reflection pool and swimming pool with a wet edge.
